College and University List - Gives a list of colleges by state. Once you click on a college, it gives some facts about the school including estimated tuition and fees as well as demographic information. Clicking on the "School Facts" tab will give you even more information on average GPA and majors offered by each university.
Once you've selected a college, answer the following questions and record answers in your spreadsheet:
What is the yearly tuition for this school?
How much can you anticipate spending on books, housing and meals (also called room and board) while attending?
How many years will you attend to earn the degree that you need?
How much money will you spend on your college education? (Add the previous totals to come up with your final cost.)
How much will your monthly student loan payments be? (Multiply the total cost from the step above by 1.02 to include a 2% interest rate then divide this number by 240 to get your monthly payment.)
If your career choice requires you to go to college, research a college you’d like to attend (and can reasonably get into given your GPA).
Technical and Vocational School Guide - Gives drop down menus for different career choices or you can search by state or subject.
